Does artificial grass melt?

Yes. Artificial grass generally melts at temperatures of 175º or higher. To avoid melting, don’t use BBQs directly over your turf, and never pour boiling water on its surface. If your property has double-pane windows installed, we recommend applying a UV filter to reduce glare which can reach temperatures high enough to melt synthetic turf.
